Library Hours
8:15 to 4:15 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Thursday: 8:45 to 4:15. Please make an appointment with Mrs. Haggard for access to the library outside these times.
Library Cards: Each student is issued a library card and encouraged to keep it in his/her agenda book. The agenda book should come with the student to the library.
Checking out books: The checkout period is 15 school days. Check the date beside the checkout desk and use the stamp to note this in your agenda book. (See picture above.) After September 2, a student may check out up to 5 items if he/she shows that he is able to keep up with that many.
Fines: After a one-day grace period, an item is overdue and continues to accrue a fine of 10 cents per day until the item is returned. Fines will not be charged until the item is 5 days overdue. Fines are not charged on weekends or days when school is not in session. Overdue items may be returned and the fine paid later. Students with overdue items or fines will not be able to check out additional materials until their record is cleared.
Overdue Notices will be distributed to homeroom teachers once a week, beginning September 2. Parents will also receive a notice on Mondays if there is an email address on file for the student. To have this information added to a student's account, send student's name, homeroom and a parent email to [email protected]
Audio Books: Students must have a parent permission form on file to check out an audio book. Click the Forms section or the button below to get the form, or pick up one in the library. Students with this permission may check out one audio book at a time.
